Technical Issues

Android and Apple

Unfortunately, Note-ED will not run on anything other than Windows.

Microsoft Windows 8

Note-ED runs on versions of Windows 8 that support "standard desktop applications". It will not run on versions that only support "apps". Consequently, Note-ED will not work on versions of Windows 8 RT, even if they appear to support Microsoft Office - these are special versions of Office, which aren't "standard desktop applications".

Microsoft Word 2013

Microsoft's modification to Word, which is used for spell-checking and to save documents in Word format, causes a problem with Note-ED. Uninstall your version of Note-ED and download and install the latest version of Note-ED

Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2

Microsoft released this service pack in June 2009 and it can be installed automatically if you have enabled automatic Windows updates. Microsoft's modification to Word, which is used for spell-checking and to save documents in Word format, causes a problem with Note-ED. Uninstall your version of Note-ED and download and install the latest version of Note-ED. This version also supports the latest Word 2007 format (.docx) as well as the traditional Word format (.doc). See known faults.
